Welcome to Rochdale Hornets Foundation

Proudly serving the people of Rochdale through sport, learning and opportunity.

At Rochdale Hornets Foundation, rugby league is just the start. Everything we do is about building a stronger, healthier and more connected community.

From coaching in local schools and running inclusive sports sessions, to delivering health, wellbeing and education programmes — we believe in the power of sport to break down barriers, boost confidence, and change lives.

We work with people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds — because everyone deserves a chance to get active, feel part of something bigger, and reach their full potential.

What We Do:

  • Inspire Young People: Through coaching, camps and community sessions, we help young people grow in confidence, skills and ambition.

  • Support Health & Wellbeing: From mental health support to walking rugby and fitness for older adults, we make sport a tool for feeling better — physically and mentally.

  • Bring the Community Together: Our projects reduce isolation, build friendships and create new opportunities for local people to connect, belong and thrive.

Because when Rochdale comes together, anything is possible.
